Andrew S. Kanter, Esq. received both his Bachelor of Science and his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida. While at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, he was the Distribution Chair for the Entertainment Law Review, designated as an Ambassador (mentor for incoming students), and acted as Director of the Music Law Conference. He also performed research for a text on trade secrets and worked on a trademark anti-dilution note under the supervision of Professor Elizabeth Rowe.
Mr. Kanter has been practicing law since 2007 and has litigation experience ranging from state cases involving wrongful death claims to matters in federal court concerning construction defects cases. He has handled all aspects of pre-trial work including, but not limited to, arguing dispositive motions, taking key depositions, and representing clients at mediation. Since expanding his career into acting as plaintiffs’ counsel, Mr. Kanter has had the opportunity to gain knowledge in many areas of practice from bringing highly contested matters to trial with favorable results to working with major vendors in order to refine their practices and procedures in line with industry changes.
Mr. Kanter is a member of the Florida Bar (including the Family Law, Real Property Probate Law, Solo & Small Firm sections), Hillsborough County Bar Association, and is admitted to practice in the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida.
